Bryans family Armagh
« on: Saturday 20 July 13 15:01 BST (UK) »
Hi
I am having trouble locating my Great grandfather Henry Bryans. I have his marriage cert, he married Caroline Johnston on 19/7/1894 St Marks Armagh. His Father is David. I have his family on 1901 and 1911 census. I also have his wife Caroline and Children on 1901 and 1911 census but no sign of Henry. It states Caroline is married and not a widow on census. My Mum seems to think he was in the army but this not reliable info. His profession on marriage cert is mechanic.A lot of my descendants have connections with the railways. Has anyone any ideas as to where he would be?

Have you searched for him under initials rather than name in census? people in institutions (schools, barracks, hospitals, etc.) were usually listed this way.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Hi
No I haven't looked under initials but i will, I had thought it could be his 2nd christian name also but then i thought it would have his full name on marriage cert. Thanks for the advice.
