What a really lovely offer --- I won't trouble you unless I have to!
It's fortuitous that you are called 'Calverley Lad' --- can you also kindly tell me if Calverley is close to Bramley please (this will be my final 'pester') --- one of my Bramley ancestors, Abram or Abraham Chapman, may have married a Mary Ross -- who MAY have been born in Calverley, daughter of Jonathan Ross (Or maybe not!!). A Jonathan Ross died in Bramley in 1747 - and I am wondering therefore if the Ross family moved from Calverley to Bramley -- hence Mary Ross met Abram Chapman there!
It's difficult assessing these things from a map -- it's much better hearing from someone who is familiar with the area.
My last question -- honestly! You have been far too kind, Brian -- otherwise I wouldn't have dared ask it.
Regards June
