The only other thing I have at the moment is that she died in the Eastern District Hospital, the Funeral Director was Jack Seenan of Glasgow c.5. Ithink her last known Address was 67 Commercial rd.

thanks

Jack Seenan funeral directors are still in operation- write or ring them and see if they have the old records.

Oh that's a shame.

Have you looked at the burial info here http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,510660.0.html

Sounds like there are quite a few possible graveyards in the area.

Good luck.

Carol

Hi all, here in the town i was born in Stockton on Tees north east England 2-3 years ago i went in search of my 2x gt grandparents James Casey & Mary Ann Casey, they were buried as paupers in 1895 & 1899, realy sad thing was they were not placed together but close, the one good thing the powers that be did was to record the row &  in what part of the cemetery, so i was able to visit both, did this not happen in Scotland, my 3x gt grandparents were Bernard & Elizabeth Casey,
he died 1856 she in 1882, both buried as paupers, i believe they were buried in St Peters, Dalbeth,
i was hoping a number would exist showing where they were buried ???
All the best Derek
Casey,Comaskey,McDade,O'Brien,Dinely, Farrell,

Hi Helen and welcome to Rootschat. I can't help with that one but was just picking up on the Tervit name. Mt 3xG grandfather's sister Marion was married to a farmer John Tervit. He died in 1855 and is buried in Carnwarth. If you do find out he is related I have a photo of that grave.
