Hi, I use both RootsChat & GenesReunited - both are excellent for what you want to use each for.  If you want census & parish records look ups, or general info discussions then RootsChats is better by far (in my opinion). If you want to record your family tree & search their large database for your ancesters then GR's the site for that purpose. Obviously if you find a likely ancestor of yours, entered by someone else, & you want to contact them, you have to pay a fee. You can of course. hope that the other party coughs up, & contacts you. Through GenesReunited I have just located & contacted a descendant of my great-grandfather, & now we are discussing a mutual relative. Through RootsChat I have had many good responses to queries raised - & have been reunited with a chap I went to school with 40 years ago - so who needs other sites.

Keep searching - John P
