I am trying to find out what became of Jane Ethel Johnson (b. Hackney 1890). In 1911, she was working as housekeeper at 18 Kensington Place, Westminster St Margaret and St John.
I believe that she married Frederick George Baker (1886 - 1924) in St. George Hanover Square in 1912 (my guess is they married at St. Mary the Virgin, Vincent Square, Tothill Fields).
In 1921, Frederick was shown on the electoral register as living with Jane's sister (Elizabeth Finall) at 111 Tachbrook Street, Pimlico.
In 1923, Frederick is still living at 111 Tachbrook Street, Pimlico, with two of Jane's elder sisters (Elizabeth Finall and war-widow Beatrice Smith) and Frederick's father (Frederick Baker Sr.*)
If Jane was alive, is there any reason that she would not appear on the electoral register?
Jane and Frederick possibly had a daughter - Jennie E E Baker - in 1914. It appears that Frederick died in 1924 but I cannot find any further records on Jane or Jennie. Please can someone suggest my next course of action?
Thanks for reading.
*I assume that Frederick Baker Sr. was a widower because he married his neighbour Emily Jane Dunston in 1924.
