Hi All,

Just thought I would give a little update. Thanks to KHP & Janettes suggestion about contacting the funeral directors they have come back with some info that is interesting. It would appear that Owen also had another sister Gladys who is deceased. He also had a niece as well as two nephews so maybe another lead to tracing the family. Also one of his nephews moved to Canada, here we go again!

Cheers,

Hello again.

Thanks for keeping me in the loop. Owen was just a couple of years younger than the four Melville Airmen, also from Hamilton, whom I've researched. They tread similar paths.

The Holland & Beckett mentioned in some of the material you have received, is that of a legal practice in Tauranga. It could pay to write to them, to see if they still act for any family members. They may have a more recent address for service, though if our local ones are anything to go by, they purge their client lists often, and store most files off site, in storage. So you have to pay to access / uplift additional copies of, even your quite recent dealings.

Worth a try though. Their contact details are easy found. Fill in the blanks.  lawyers hobec co nz

Yet again.

I see the name Rona WILSON gets some modern hits in the Christchurch area. Possibly a death some 10 years ago, and more recently associated with sport. Any one with social media accounts who could check them out ? An outside chance there is a connection. Rona is not that common a given name these days.
