Harry ADAMS who married Mary SEANOR on March 27th 1901
« on: Sunday 30 June 13 05:37 BST (UK) »
Hi folks, having no access to much in the way of good websites, can I kindly ask for a look-up on these people?

I have inherited hoards of unnamed photographs of people from Oldham, probably majority are family, but very very few are named! The vast majority are of people from the Salvation army (uniforms are a giveaway, also bandsmen etc...).

Harry was born the 8th January, 1869, and Mary 28th March, 1882. I believe Harry's parents were Elizabeth and James. No ideas on Mary Seanor. Harry went to Canada for a time in 1892, came back, and then moved to New Zealand in 1901 after his marriage.

I would just like to know about sisters, brothers, parents of the above, so I can work out photographs. Any thoughts on who to contact as archivists about the early Salvation Army in Oldham would be a great resource too I believe.

Many thanks. (I think Census of 1871, 1881, 1891, and possibly 1901 should be a great help).

That is super, had next door to nothing on these people. Hopeful of identifying Mary Seanor, and then to place her in a possible family photo with the people you are mentioning. Many thanks.

Hi
Harry Adams married Mary Seanor in 1901 Oldham Register Office or Registrar attended. If it was a Salvation Army wedding, the Registrar would need to attend.

Do you know where Harry was born?
