Hi All  :)

I am still trying to find some form of army records of my grandfather Walter Thomas Walters 15 Sept 1888 - 21 May 1952. My gran gave me a cap badge and a medal ribbon. I did find a medal record for a Walter T Walters. But do the card and medals match? I thought my grandfather was in the South Wales Borders (born, lived and died in Monmouth, South Wales). Can anyone help please? :)

The cap badge is that of the Royal Artillery. The second ribbon is that of the British War Medal and the third one is the ribbon of the Victory Medal (I have my grandfather's ones - he was in the Royal Field Artillery). The first one is probably the ribbon of the 1915 Star.

The medal card does not state that your grandfather had changed regiments, so you should maybe think of any other relative the cap badge belonged to.
