From the 1939 register, Vera BAINBRIDGE has her date of birth as 30 March 1916.  :D

If you have access, the family shows on the 1921 census in Weardale, with grandmother Jane WALLER and another stepson (Fred PROUD, born c1906). Fred PROUD appears (as nephew) on the 1911 census mentioned by fiddlerslass.
