Thank you so much the information has really helped. Yes i am starting to see that that approach will get me further as subscription sites have only got me so far.

Thank you again

P.s Is their any way that anyone knows of that i could find the above information myself as i am thinking of taking this ancestors research on in more depth in the summer?

Thanks again,
R

The selection of Liverpool records available on Ancestry are from the Liverpool Record Office in the Central Library in William Brown Street. You can view most records there on microfiche. Other records that are not on microfiche you will need to make an appointment to view in advance. No charge for viewing the records. All Liverpool libraries have free access to Ancestry and Find My Past on their PCs.

Hi Sorry to pm you. Having problem trying to find page to post request. Is it possible that age on burial record could be a mistake. I received email from Liverpool Archdiocesan Cemetery Board following interment enquiry.
Deceased: Elizabeth Davies Age 44 yrs Interment 16-Dec-1953.
74 Portland Gardens Liverpool 5
Also husband Charles Davies AGE 50yrs  same address
Section T Grave 43. I dont think age of Charles is correct could have been ? age 60
The couple married 1931 so Charles would have been age 13 yrs.
Any help appreciated.
Victoria

Hi Victoria,

The burial record on Ancestry says the age was 60. The corresponding death index though says 59. There was only one death of a Charles Davies in the July/August/September quarter of 1968 in Liverpool so it has to be a match so the age at burial was given as 60 but the age on the death certificate was 59.

Hi Wendy,
C15 is a private grave, but Joseph Peter Conlan is in there by himself. no deedholder even.
He died at Mill road Hospital aged 57, buried as you said on 19/3/1900
Sorry

I would appreciate a look up for a grave at Yew Tree Cemetery details as follows:

8th March 1940 JAMES BRENNAN GRAVE 3b 439 Died at County Mental Hospital Lancaster
Possible his daughter Elizabeth (Betty) could also be buried there. Thank you
