Hi Tina,

I have a PDF file for the usage of each section ie whether public or private and X is listed as a public section. It's one of the large grassed areas in the cemetery with no gravestones. I have an ancestor who was buried in this section in 1909. The entry says County Coroner so there was an inquest.

All these sections are believed to be Public:-

A, AD, BZ (often recorded as B), CZ, DR, DZ, GZ, HZ, KZ, L, PZ, RZ, SJ, SV, W, X, XA.

Hi Tina,
both are public graves.
X 265.     Michael David , County Coroner age 2 years interred 29/5/1904
BZ 2551. John David, died at 25 Camden St, age 7months. int 8/7/1899
Must have been an inquest for Michael , but as it's after 1900, can't check thru National Library here, but perhaps skp can do that for you.
sad when they are only babies.

Hi Tina

I suppose County Coroner refers to the Lancashire Coroner. No idea what records survive for Lancashire and how to access but the Liverpool forum should be able to advise you on that. If this is a Bootle family then it would explain the death being in the West Derby district but not being covered by the Liverpool Coroner but by the Lancashire Coroner.

Hi Marienne,
I would appreciate if you could find where someone is buried for me. his name is Carolus Davies ex Carlton St  d 23 October 1879 buried 27 October at Ford. This info from Liverpool Catholic Burials. Church was St Augustines. If its a private plot info as to owners and other inhabitants would be appreciated
Thanks
Wendy

There's only a funeral record from St Augustine's RC church no sign of a Ford burial record on Ancestry. Marienne should be able to confirm if the burial took place at Ford if at all. If not the wrong burial place was entered on the church record. Possible other burial location for that date would be Anfield Cemetery.

Hi Wendy,
This is a strange one, as there is no record on the fiche for Charles (Carolus)  Davi(e)s in Ford in 1879. Looked at a lot of similar sounding names also.
The burial in the register underneath your Carolus is Hugh Webb, & he isn't there either, but the next one, Michael Smith is. He is in a public grave so I searched all the graves around in case Carolus & Hugh's names had been missed off the index, but couldn't see any even similar names. If you have any other family members I can see where they are.
sorry
