Sorry typo in 6 above.  It should say the grandson as in 2 above rather than the grandson of 2 above.

I'm thinking that my next move might have to be to take both those Zephaniah's baptised in 1803 in Sheffield Cathedral back further through their respective parents Joseph/Mary and Thomas/Ruth to see if there is a patriarchical Zephaniah somewhere in the distance to whom they are both related.  Not sure if all the records are around to enable this though.

I gave you the burial of a young child in 1858 age 5 months so that would fit with the birth and death found on freebmd.
