Need to Hire A Researcher - Scotland
« on: Thursday 20 June 13 16:45 BST (UK) »
My Grandmother had 7 sisters and only two of them are still living.  They are in their 90s and I'm going to see them in a few weeks at family reunion.  I really would like someone to take the info I have and run with it for a week or so to see what they find.  Main areas will be - Lanarkshire and Renfrenshire ... Surnames will be Arnott and Jamieson .... If you're interested or know of a "reasonable priced" researcher, please let me know asap ... Thanks!

tmilanese, welcome to RootsChat  :)

suepurple, great that you have recommended someone to try and help, but if I can give some further advice...

tmilanese, why don't you post some details here of the family (not including any details of living people please). RootsChat members are a willing, experienced and resourceful bunch and could well help further at this stage  :)

Monica

No need to apologise, suepurple  :) Just trying to give other options for research.

There are links to lists of professional searchers on the Scotland's People web site.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.
