However .... I see that one of her children was born in 1855. 1855 Scottish birth certificates are treasure trove. Go to
www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk
and invest in a few credits at modest cost. Use one to locate and five to download an image of the birth certificate of Adam Harper in Cadder in 1855. This will tell you where she (said she) was born.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

My Margaret McKenzie born 10/5/1821 in Leith , married a John Nicol, Margaret died 1873 in Leith. I hope this helps your search.
