Help Please. Bottle Makers.

 I found my 4th Great Grand Parent's on the 1841 Census living in County of Lancashire Reg District Manchester.
Their names were Thomas Donovan born 1769-Ireland his son inlaw was Matthew Kelly born 1811 again Ireland.They do not say where from in Ireland.
Can anyone tell me what area's of Ireland would Glass Bottlemakers come from to get to Lancashire?

ballydw and I found much the same result.
To make glass you need sand and fuel so somewhere around the coast seems the most likely, but glass was used so much there must have been more places than Dublin making it.

This is heavy going but it seems there was glass made in Dublin Waterford, Belfast and that's where I gave up!!

The Irish Glass Bottle Company in Ringsend was one of the biggest employers in that area.  It was based on Ringsend Road,  It was closed down in the 1980s.  As a child we used to love watching the glass blower and the bottles when they were red hot.  It had a lovely art deco frontage which remains.
