I'm also researching Francis Langford Lane.  Did you find out who his parents were and his birth date and birth place from the marriage certificate you ordered?

Francis Henry Langford-Lane born 1880 Roscommon. Parents were Michael L and Elizabeth Lane nee Rodney. Not sure what the L means I am thinking Langford it be a surname from his grandmother or one obviously not his mother or it be her mother
Francis married Lily Rebecca Moore on the 15th April 1909, The Deanery, Launceston, Tasmania. Francis died 1965 aged 85 years, buried 24th April 1965 Monumental Cemetery A11, Carr-Villa Cemetery Launceston
