line of Ashbys in Hackney london
« on: Tuesday 11 June 13 12:26 BST (UK) »
I am trying to trace a line of Ashbys in the old borough of Hackney London the earliest known one is an Alice Ashby who died in 1802.  I know there are quite a few later ones but i need to trace back Alice Ashby as she seems the very earliest Ashby i can trace.  Can anyone help, there were some children born to my ancestor Charles Ashby and his wife Anne Wells but they did not survive, they were:

Sophia Ashby
Sophia ann Ashby
Francis Jukes Ashby

only Edward Ashby born around 1782 survived

i need to trace this Ashby line as far back as i can but have reached a brick wall with Alice Ashby who died in 1802 burial record with St Johns church Hackney. :-\
