Beccles marriage/baptism - John Garrod to Marianne c.1840

I'm looking for the marriage of Marianne (surname unknown) to John King Garrod around 1840.  Both born in Beccles (Marianne in 1821 - from census & John in 1817).

I have no surname for Marianne (aka Mary Ann), and thus no record of her baptism or parents.  She died in March 1861, and John subsequently married Sarah Ann of Norwich (another marriage I have yet to locate).

John & Marianne had 8 children:

I can't find a marriage record for John and Marianne on the St Michaels Beccles register.

I can give you the dates of baptism and some birth dates for their children if you haven't got exact details

That information would be useful as it would confirm the family details I've located so far.  You haven't seen a Marianne baptised around 1821 that might fit as well, by any chance?

Unfortunately I cannot find any baptism of a Marianne Plowman at St Michael's Beccles.

Great.  I was beginning to suspect Plowman as a possibility as the name is used in the middle of some of the childrens' names, but it could have been the grandmother's.

I don't know why there are two John Plowman baptisms. I thought maybe the first child died and they named another with the same name, but can't find a death for the first. Also the first baptism entry for JP has Marianne spelt Marian which might not be too worrying, but I dont know what Town Office means for John Snr's occupation.

I found John & Marianne's marriage online after your post - for some reason it didn't seem to appear on the searches I'd done up to now.

I'm not acutally related to any of them (I'm Scots), but I'm researching the family background to a Rev. C.W. Shickle form Norwich who married John & Marianne's eldest daughter and ended up living in Bath.
