The 1868 marriage cert should have his fathers name and occupation which may help determine which  of the 2 possibilities is him

The marriage cert for Ann Parr & Thomas Bleasdale shows her father William as deceased - occ file cutter

Ann Parr is shown as a watch maker - address 21 or 26 Ackers St Prescot

1871 has

William Parr 24 b Rainhill occ file forger
Ann 26 b Prescot
Mary 3 b Prescot
Henry 1 b Rainhill
RG10/3860/46/43

If you look at the top of the census page there is an 18yr old John Parr occ file cutter.  Go to the previous page and his father was John Parr occ file cutter - employer

1881 - all b Prescot - 21 Ackers St Prescot

Ann Parr 37 widow
Mary 13
Henry 11
Annie 6
Emanuel Dyson 20 lodger watch pinion maker
RG11/3729/41/41

Birth registrations for all 3 children show mmn as Pendleton although on Henry's it is mis-spelt as Pindlleton

William Parr aged 27 died March qtr 1875 - Prescot 8b 545  see www.freebmd.org.uk

Hello DonnaMarie. In my extended family tree, I have a Sarah Parr (b.1836) the daughter of James Parr (b. 1815) a file cutter, and brother of John (1819-1896). They were both sons of William Parr (1787-1862), baptism at Windle, son of John Parr (1756-1840), son of Thomas (1721-1804), son of Henry (1688-1734), son of Thomas (1639-1689), son of William (1585-1646). All related to the Prescot and/or Farnworth (Widnes) area. Pretty sure the connections are right and hope this helps.
Cheers, Mike.
