Patrick Dillon is my grandfathers brother. He was born in Killure near Ahascragh which is close to Ballinasloe, County Galway. He emigrated to New Jersey with two of his brothers.  We have some information about his brothers but none about Patrick once he arrived in America. I can give you some information about the family background in Ireland. Would you be able to fill in details of his family in America.

Thanks Sandra. Kathleen, you know how we were talking about whether Christopher and Thomas Dillon were the 2 brothers that left Ireland with Patrick? Well Thomas and Christopher lived on Sussex St in Jersey City. Here , Patrick also lives on Sussex. Its safe to say all 3 must be brothers because they live on the same street. Jersey City is one of the biggest, if not thee biggest city in NJ. Its beyond coincidence all 3 live on the same street and NOT be related

If only I can find the ship manifest for Patrick. Each census has him coming a different year and the name is just too popular to nail down which one is him.

Yes, frustrating, especially when the earlier passenger lists give little information as well.

Was coming back to Thomas Dillon who I had noticed on Sussex Street in 1900 with Christopher and Bridget/Delia and in 1910 right next door to each other.
1920 they are on following pages of the census and 1930 Thomas and Christopher both on Union Street - same census page.

Dillon - Harney - http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~harney2/america/NJ.htm

Me and another poster on here were wondering if we were related. She is related to Christopher and Thomas Dillon. I am related to Patrick Dillon. Chris and Tom had an older brother named Patrick that the family lost track of. so we were trying to find clues to see if all 3 were brothers. We wanted to know if her Patrick is my Patrick ha ha!Seeing all 3 live on the same street or a street over is promising :)

Regarding the earlier post I put about the Kellys I am confused. The family claims she is from Ahascragh but the records posted here say Clooncannon. Is that the same area? The first baptism record fro Delia someone posted that has the right names of her parents says Mount Bellew. I know families can move but I was wondering everyones input. All the documents everyone provided here seem to match, right down to Delias parents and siblings but now I have 3 towns....Ahascragh, Clooncannon and Mount Bellow
