Trying to find a death that happened in Tripoli, Libya.

 All I have is William Alexander Ballantyne died in Tripoli in 1979 at age 63. How do I find the full date and any other information that might be available?

 How and Where do I get this information? 

There has to be a full date when and how he died etc but don't know who I contact or send to receive this information.

You need to contact the GRO  www.gro.gov.uk  and make sure you tick the deaths overseas part

For overseas events which were registered with the British authorities:
