I'm looking for information on the family of  John Guilfoyle and his wife Winifred Hayden they got married around 1920 and they had a very large family.

I believe that Winifred was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia and lived in Tramore.

Any information  would be very much appreciated.

Have you tried a marriage cert for John and Winifred ?

these are the likely Index references you need to order a research cert.

  Name : Winifred Hayden
  Event Type : Marriage
Quarter and YearJan - Mar 1920
  Registration District : Naas
  Volume: 2 / Page : 799

A matching entry appears for a John Guilfoyle.

A cert should show current residences for the bride & groom, father names & occupations etc -all of which should help locate the correct families on earlier records e.g. Irish census returns.

see : Ordering Certs from GRO Roscommon

There are a number of possible children listed for this couple on the BMD Index, some in Naas district and others in Athy district. They are too recent to be mentioned here, but are easy to locate on the BMD Index once you enter family surname, and mothers maiden surname.

Mother's maiden name is included in the online index from about 1927, so there could be additional children - i.e. between 1920 and 1927.
