I've quite a few today.
On 10 June
Elizabeth Eliza Mumby my 2 x g.g.aunt married Isaac Salter in Hobart, Tasmania in 1850. They had both been transported from England. Isaac Salter was transported for desertion. He was court martialled at Wellington Barracks on the 8th March 1836. Isaac left England aboard the `Lady Nugent`` on the 12th. November 1836. He served 8 years as a convict in Tasmania. He received his Free Certificate on 28 January 1844 and permission to marry was granted on the 21 May 1850. Elizabeth received a sentence of 7 years and transportation to Van Diemen’s Land for two cases of theft of rather large quantities of food and clothes from two previous employers She left aboard the ship Tory on 30 April 1848, which held 170 female convicts. Although Elizabeth had one daughter born 1838, it’s possible that she had another child who was the subject of a Bastardy Order in 1847. She travelled to Tasmania without any children, but had 10 more following her marriage to Isaac.
William Howard my husband’s 3 x g.g.uncle was born in Liverpool in 1798
Ann Elizabeth Whittaker my husband’s g.aunt was baptised at St Lawrence Church, Denton, Lancashire in 1886
Hannah Lockwood (nee Brown) my 4 x g.grandmother was baptised at St Nicholas Church, Cumberworth, Yorkshire in 1753
James Mumby my 2 x g.g.uncle was baptised at St Botolph’s Church, Boston, Lincolnshire in 1812
Ann Chorley my 3 x g.g.aunt was baptised at Gosforth, Cumberland in 1810
Ada Hobson Cockett my aunt died in Blackpool in 1993. She was 97 and the cause of her death was Old Age. She ran away with a married man and although they never married or had children they were together until his death in 1955. She and her partner used Ada’s middle name as their surname. Her life choice obviously didn’t go down well with her mother or siblings, but I stayed with them often as a child and was very fond of them both. Not having children of their own they gave me the best of everything, and actually asked my mother if they could adopt me. Naturally my mother said No.

John Seth Cockett my uncle and baby brother of Ada Hobson Cockett above died at 20 Ash Street, Harpurhey, Manchester in 1910. He was 3 weeks old and his cause of death was given as Congenital Debility and convulsions.
George William Wright my g.grandfather died at 395 Hessle Road, Hull in 1935. His age was given as 77, giving a year of birth of either 1858 or 1857 if his birthday was later in the year than his date of death. Of course, it’s possible that his son who was the informant didn’t know his true age. As he and my g.grandmother didn’t marry, I have no way of knowing his age and possible name of father. As I can’t find him on any census prior to 1891, I have no idea if the details given on 1891 and subsequent census that he was born in Bethnal Green, are correct. Having a common name doesn’t help me as there are too many of a similar name and age in the Bethnal Green area at the time.
