Marriage of William Thomas to Mary, Welshpool, about 1807

Hi all,

I am looking for a marriage of William Thomas to a Mary in the Welshpool or nearby area about 1807.

I have their children
Mary Thomas born 12 Jan 1808, baptised 26 January 1808 at Welshpool and
William Thomas born 20 Aug 1810, baptised 23 August 1810 also at Welshpool;
parents in both cases given as William and Mary Thomas.

Can anyone find their marriage.

( There is a marriage of William Thomas to Mary Griffiths at Welshpool on 13th August 1810 but I think this is too late for the above family )

but despite over 1200 views and no answers, it still remains one of my brickwalls. Hopefully there are now more records available to find the answer.

There is the possibility that they never married at all

The baptisms specifically state ' of William Thomas & Mary, his wife' so, if you want to take that literally, the only marriage I found in Montgomeryshire between 1788 & 1808 was

Interestingly (?), looking at the parish records available on FindMyPast only, there are only 4 William Thomas's being buried in Welshpool between 1810 & 1890 that could father the children

William Thomas bur 19 Aug 1836 Welsh Town, age 83 (though this would be good going)
William Thomas bur 2 Mar 1871 Welsh Town age 80

I've ruled out those born in 1753 and 1754
