Martin Murray School Master.
« on: Wednesday 29 May 13 21:22 BST (UK) »
Trying to find info on my Great Great Great Grandfather, Martin Murray.
He was born in Ireland and is on the 1851 Census as living in Henllan Street, Denbigh, occupation is School Master.
I'm assuming he would have connections with the old National School in Lenton Pool, Denbigh?

I've found this possible death record. It's the only Martin Murray dying in Denbighshire within ten years of 1861. It would explain why I can't find him after the 1851 census.

Death Record
Name    Martin Murray
Year of Registration    1857
Quarter of Registration    Jan-Feb-Mar
Registration District    St. Asaph
Registration County    Denbighshire
Volume Number    11B
Volume Page    268

Many thanks.  Would the records office in Ruthin keep info on former county School employees?

I have no idea I'm afraid. You'll have to try and hope for the best.
