Shorter/Laggat Families

Looking for information on Priscilla Leggat born 1825, Wokingham and died Apr, 1970 in Reading.  She married William Shorter (b. 1819, Wokingham - d. 1887, Wokingham) in July, 1844 again in Wokingham.

I've found info, and will gladly share, on the Shorter's (my grandmothers family) but can not find anything about Priscilla other than what is above.  Want to find who her parents were, siblings, etc.

A copy of the marriage certificate (cost £9.25 for GRO) should show the name and occupation of her father.

In 1841 it looks like Priscilla is in Great Marlow (Piece: 53 Book/Folio: 3/11 Page: 17 ) with the family of Thomas and Maria Dukes.

It may just be coincidence but there was a John and Priscilla Leggett/att who had a child, William, baptised 1823 in Reading (familysearch) and this Priscilla senior and son are in Guernsey in 1841. Also in 1851 when William had a daughter Priscilla in 1850.
John and Priscilla appear to have had another child, Emma Priscilla, bap in 1828 in London but born Guernsey. As Priscilla is not a particularly common name, perhaps there is a link here.
Wokingham reg dist covers a big area and several places, so as nanny jan says, a copy of the marriage cert will give you more details. The BMI does not yet have the marriage.
