OC's daughter Elizabeth married a John Claypole - and OC made him a Lord (rescinded upon the Restoration)

I have done some research on Cromwell. May I suggest this site http://www.clarelibrary.ie/eolas/history/cromwell_settlement.htm This site also includes Down Survey Info and info on the Perry Survey. The book by John O'Hart, The Landed Gentry When Cromwell Came to Ireland, available at openlibrary.org is also good if you are looking for ancestors-many lists are in this book. I found my ancestor in this book on the list of the 1649 Officers. Good luck, fruitytooty

The Cromwells have links to Northborough, near Market Deeping. It is rumoured that part of his body is buried there.

I know you were asking about links to Lincolnshire and I responded previously so I remembered you post. During my recent research I was reading the book "The History of Bucks Co., PA, from the Discovery of the Delaware to the Present Time" by William Watts Hart Davis-available on google-Page 67 speaks of "Jane Claypole, a descendant of Oliver Cromwell, through his daughter who married Lord General Claypole, purchased land in this county". I found it interesting to see the history in Pennsylvania, USA, late 1600's with this reference to Claypole and Oliver Cromwell and thought I should post the info here. Fruitytooty
