I was talking about Love rellies and how difficult it was searching for the word Love in a Trove search.

I am researching the Love family for a close friend whose Dad (deceased) was Arthur Henry Love and changed his name to Alfred Henry Brown.  There is a couple of threads about him on RC.

We now need to understand why he felt the need to change his name and never tell his Brown family about it.

Arthur Henry Love arrived Sydney 1927 from the UK. We have no further information about him until he appeared as Alfred Henry Brown in victoria in 1939.  There is an Arthur Henry Love in ACT electoral rolls in 1928 & 1930, but I have some doubts it is the same person. So it is possible he was in Eden but not born there.

Thanks for the link Yvonne!   Hooray for you - I couldn't have given you all that info!  Do you attend?
 - I didn't realise the Bundoora meeting was THE meeting for Victoria!!  Looks interesting doesn't it!!

There is a bus running very close to that hall - and the 86 Bundoora RMIT tram isn't too far away either.    Neither is the Hursbridge line train station of Watsonia.


Don't worry about hijacking the thread Red - it won't go much more anyway - We've met now!!

I don't see a link to your friend's ancestor, they were in nsw in the 1870's or earlier,
good luck with solving the mystery.
