Charles Hotson from Compton

Having another go at my Hotston's (various spellings)

I came across while searching the 1881 census a Charles Hotston born about 1833 in Compton and his wife Harriet born 1840 Iping and I would like to try and fit him and his family into my database.

So the lookup request is for his parents,  most probably the easiest would be to look at the 1841 census where he is listed using the spelling HOTSON.

Back in 2005 I purchased the 1841 census images on some CD's from UK-Census.com but all 4 CD's no longer seem to work. They are burnable CDR's and I think the ink has faded with age

The sequence given in the index to the 1841 census of Westbourne, Funtington, Sussex, lists probable parents as Charles 1806 and Sarah 1811.  The children with them were Mary 1830, Elizabeth 1832, Charles 1834, Jane 1837 and Eliza 1840. 

Could this be their baptisms just over the border in Hampshire where a Charles and Sarah had an Elizabeth Hotson b 1832, Charles Hodson b 1834, and a Jane Hodson b 1837?  The IGI states these three were all baptised in the Hampshire village of Charlton.
