My earliest (so far) female ancestor on my mother's side was called Sislye Waddilove  (born about 1540) which I think is such a pretty name.

I have someone with the christian name Flower, which I think is lovely.

Also have the surname Makepeace on my tree, which seems nice.
Best wishes HL

Hope your Flower was a girl!  I nursed a returned soldier with that for a first name, years ago.  And his father had the same name!  Wouldn't they have come in for some ribbing??

I found one in my research she was called - Princess Victoria Louisa.
I suppose if we are not a real 'Princess' you can still call yourself one. :)

Just as well the aforesaid child was not premature - otherwise she could have been called "Lent" !!

Gosh Dawn, that's not a good name to give a boy in this day and age  :)

My Flower was a girl and strangely enough I also have another branch with the surname Dew  :)
Best wishes HL

I have a friend whose mother was called Ivy, her sisters were Rose, Violet. Peony and Myrtle.
I wonder if the parents were gardeners
