I've just completed the survey.  :)

I disagree with those critical of the survey. I thought it was very well set out, simple to understand and always gave you an option to select "Don't know".

It took me about 17 minutes to complete but I did have a lot to write in the little boxes when given the opportunity.  ;)

I didn't find the questions at all repetitive either.

I do loads of surveys and believe me, this was excellent and interesting compared to some that I do.  ;D

PS. I would like a COles Myer voucher, but I never win anything either.  :'(

Ha Ha surveys.I tell it like it is, if they want my opinion they get it-warts and all. It is a great site but needs a bit of work.Look at rootschat.Yes the old site was good but now it has joined the 21st century and I just love it. Cheers gmar

I carefully explained that my first language is my spoken language as I could handle it long before I was taught to read and write.  So I continued along and explained that my first language is Australian and then I added that I can read and write in the English language as well.   ;D  ;D

Yes, I learnt to answer in this way from one of my elderly rellies who has regularly answered the Census question re languages in the household etc as "Australian" and that English is a second language  ::)  ::)  ::)

I declined to answer the income question, but I did give name and email address in case there's a tee-shirt or voucher at hand.   If so, then hopefully that will come in handy at the mini meet at Newcastle   :)  eg perhaps as a "First Prize" for the person coming the longest distance .....  .... oops as usual JM is getting sidetracked ....

Cheers,  JM
