I am keen to find the whereabouts of the parish register entry for the marriage of my 4xGt Grandparents, John BECK and Elizabeth [unknown], who apparently married in + 1817-1821.  It is likely that they were both born in Staffordshire - in about 1798 and 1801 respectively - and that they were also married in Staffs.  Certainly, they were living in Handsworth (Staffs) by 1839, when their son William was himself married.  It is quite possible that John was the brother of William Beck, born in Longton (Staffs) in 1790.  Consequently, it seems likely that John Beck and Elizabeth .... were married in Longton, Handsworth, or somewhere in between, by 1817-1821.

Any assistance shall be greatly appreciated!

There is a Beck building dated 1877 still standing in Commerce St., Longton (now Douglas Macmillan Hospice). I have also found in a local almanac an advert for A. Beck with the address 19 High Street, Longton and Market Street corner of Commerce Street.

Thank you Alan for your reply!  I have since managed to trace the family back to the late-1600s at Dilhorne in Staffordshire.  However, I have not as yet succeeded in finding details of the marriage of John and Elizabeth.

Findmypast only has a marriage for John Beck in Handsworth (St Marys) on 25 Sep 1820 to Eleanor Thorley.
This is a transcribed entry with no register attached (its Source is listed as Familysearch).
Maybe someone with access to the registers could check the name is Eleanor (and not mistranscribed).
