Hi Marlers,

Two thoughts come to my mind, the first is you could do with you post on the boards relative to you request so that more people will see it, and then you might stand a better chance.

The other thought is to email the cemetery or church/vicar and appeal to their better nature - explain your story/circumstances, and keep you fingers crossed..... worth a go eh?!

Best wishes,

Hi Marlers,

You are very welcome, and your post was on the right board, but I was just concerned that if it had been on the Essex board, you would have had a wider audience, and therefore perhaps more help in your quest!

You might also try and see if there is a Family History Group local to your cemetery, there might well be a member of that that will be able to visit and take photos.... again worth a shot!

http://www.esfh.org.uk/  I found this but haven't really had chance to look at it.

Don't worry, I found this site a bit scary when it was all new to me, but you soon find your way round - it's a great place!

Best wishes,

:)Hi once again thank you for the time you have taken to help me .I didn't know that there is a different board to use for certain areas as you said about the Essex board can you tell me how I put my request on that board.Sorry to be a problem but this is new to me I will get there in the end I know I will. I have had a quick look at the link you gave me and will consider becoming a member could be helpful and not expensive.

Have a good day
From Marlers

Hi Marlers,

Now that is a good question, lets hope the moderators are reading this and then perhaps someone would be good enough to move the message for you  HELP MODS please!!

If you look on FORUM at the top of the opening page, and click that, then scroll down to ENGLAND you will then see all the counties listed.  If you click on any of those it will take you to all the enquiries related to that county.  You can then place you enquiry specific to the area you are asking about.  It just mean then you target the audience that might be more helpful.

That is how it works, and whilst you did the right thing with  your grave yards post I just think you might get more help in ESSEX!

Now, fingers crossed that the Moderator is reading this!

Ask away, if I can help I will!!

Best wishes,
Copperbeech5

PS I think from previous experience it is better to get this thread moved that to post the same question on the Essex page, people seem to get a bit irritated when that happens..... ;) But I have asked "how" on the technical page, so I am sure help will be along soon!

:)Hi Once again many thanks for your time and patience .In fact yesterday I was playing around on the site as you do and I entered rootsessex.com and up it came so I put the post on photos I did get 1 reply this morning but wasn't lucky with the Corringham one [for my Grandfather] I have also since telephoned the Corbets Tey Crem. they told me my parents don't have a plaque etc so nothing to photograph but the will send me out a map of the area/lawn where their ashes are,so I have made a little headway .

Many thanks you are kind,
Marlers

Well done, small steps seem slow, but you will get there in the end, you just have to keep coming at things from new angles!

You will get there, and the ride is such fun!!  Keep us posted on your progress, we can all learn something new!

I am sorry to say that despite having contacted the Mods for you, the post is still here in Graveyards... oh well there is still time for it to be moved!

Best wishes,

The post was not moved to Essex board since the OP started another topic on the Essex board.
