Another 'snippet' - The London Gazette 16th August 1861 (Patents)

Notice is hereby given, that provisional protection has been allowed -

To William Cave Thomas, of 6, Wells Street, Oxford Street, in the County of Middlesex, for the invention of "improvements in metal casing or armour for the defence of ships and batteries."
On his petition, recorded in the Office of the Commissioners on the 14th day of June, 1861.
