Looking for a birth record and/or parents for Isabel Rook.  She was married to Thomas Taylor on 13 April 1752 in Morpeth, Northumberland.  I'm assuming she was born near that area but I cannot find a record for her.  Thanks

Sorry I am just now responding.  I haven't been on the site for several years.  The online index record does not indicate her status and her name is incorrectly spelled as Isable.

My Herbert Woods transcript of the parish marriages of that time also has Isable Rook and Thomas Taylor, both of this parish, by banns.  My guess is that was how her name was spelled on the parish record.  No mention of status on their marriage or anyone until about 1754 and then they included witnesses.

Many of the Isable's were spelled just like that and occasional Isabel but mostly noted by the change in Rector.  I don't see status such as bachelor or spinster routinely until 1770 however there were the occasional widow/er before that time but none in 1752.

Please note that when a record says they were "of this parish" it does not mean they were born there--only lived there at least three weeks
