James Henry Priaulx was born 1864 in Guernsey, Channnel Islands. He immigrated to NSW in 1882. He spent his early years in the northern rivers (Lismore, Casino, Broadwater) and northern tablelands (Armidale to Murrurrundi), marrying Sarah Ruth Elizabeth Gimbert at Uralla in 1887 as James Henry Preeo, the phonetic spelling of Priaulx.
They moved to back to the Lismore area around 1885 and to Surry Hills 1890s and Newtown around 1900. Evidently he had a hard and disappointing life.
James had a warrant issued against him for wife desertion in 1916, the last record I can find on him. I realise that he is probably buried under an assumed name or in a paupers grave, however I would like to get closure on this.
Any assistance on finding out what became of him, or what may have become of him, would be welcome.
