Hi Dawn,
I want to find out if the actual entry has any additional information on it (e.g. "of this parish", occupation of father, etc.)? Of course, with it being a 16th Century Baptism record, it may just state what the transcription states and nothing more!
The transcription (initially from familysearch, and also replicated to Ancestry) states the following:
Name: John Waek
Gender: Male
Birth Date: 26 Sep 1728
Baptism Date: 20 Oct 1728
Baptism Place: St Sepulchre,London,London,England
Father: Robert Waek
Mother: Elizabeth
FHL Film Number: 374999, 375000
I believe the surname should be "Wake", and that John is possibly an illegitimate child born to Elizabeth, the daughter of the Reverend Robert Wake (with Elizabeth possibly adding the name of her father to "hide" the illegitimate nature of the birth). I could be barking up the wrong tree, of course!

Cheers,
Nick
