Henry James was born in Reynoldston Pembrokeshire 1809,married Hester Phillips in 1838,i believe in Narberth.Hester Phillips, born 1807 Lampeter.Where would i find birth records for each individual. If someone could point me in the right direction i would be most grateful.

Hi,

A copy of the marriage certificate should show the name and occupation of their fathers; using that information you can look for baptism records for Henry and Hester.

Given the location of the marriage - you may want to consider this entry.  However - I agree with Nanny Jan - you need the marriage cert as there were other Henry James in that area

Henry James married Esther Phillips, both of full age. Henry was a bachelor, and a collier, father William James, also a collier. Can't make out the residence sorry.

Esther was a spinster, servant, of Begelly Houses(?), father David Phillips, a cooper.

Witnesses: William James (his father?) and John Jones (parish clerk).

Henry (and William) signed his name, Esther made her x mark.

The Henry James baptism in Begelly in 1808 (reply from CaroleW above) was the son of William James (no mothers listed on the page).

Looks like Martha (burial on 1 Feb 1851, aged 22 months) and Mary Ann (13 Oct 1855, aged 0), died as infants...
