Hi, I'm following a lead to this address. Please do you know if it was The poor house in 1937? I've traced my great grandmother who died there of a cerebral haemorrhage. Her usual address was 7 Well Green, Glasgow.
Thank you to anyone who maybe able to help.

As stated earlier it was the address of the Southern General Hospital, which was previously the workhouse.

There are quite a few other threads on RC about this, for instance https://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=765956.msg6178628#msg6178628

According to the entry for Govan Workhouse here https://www.workhouses.org.uk/Govan/ the last poorhouse beds were taken out of use in 1936.
