Hi Barbara

A version from me - had to make it small and compress it to fit!

Thanks Gadget, for your efforts. This is my favorite of the two photos I have posted for my friend.
We are going to take your advice about printing (from the last thread) and go to the photography shop in town ,rather than try and print them ourselves.Presumably their paper and ink will be superior to anything we could buy.
Thanks again
Barbara :)

think you are right about the younger boy being in some sort of uniform Gadget!  I had that impression too.  Was wondering about Boys Brigade - just from the 'colours'.  In Australia they wore navy blue, with white ties.  (anyone know when Boys Brigade began? - just googled - they started in 1883 in Glasgow, and within a decade were in Aus also.)

Yes,Wiggy, forgot to mention that.Boys Brigade started in NZ in 1889 -didn't think it looked like scouts. They were a "nautical" family and I know his father and uncles were naval cadets or something like that as children.

The reason that I thought cubs/scouts was that it looked like my old Brownie uniform - have a pic of it somewhere but wouldn't dream of posting it - I'm pulling a daft face  :-X

The bloke 2nd left is quite handsome - but he looks as if he knows he is   ;D
