I have found this in newspapers.

This is my families address, could anyone please finish the message off for me. "I am, Sir .......

Little things like this just brings people to life.
At the same time as this was sent for, nephew Francis Hoffman was accused and sent to Australia for 10 years.

Is this the 'scan' of the newspaper article? The original is usually shown on the page as well - you might be better off reading that. I think that pages from newspapers are scanned and converted into a typed version and often contain mistakes. There is also usually the facility to submit corrections.
