Campsall - Location of Burial
« on: Sunday 14 April 13 19:10 BST (UK) »
Hi All

My great-grandparents both died in Campsall, Doncaster. Ellen Cobner in Jan-Mar 1957 aged 82 and Arthur Cobner in Oct-Dec 1961, aged 85.

Does anyone have any idea where they are likely to have been buried? I know it wasn't at the nearby church in Campsall. Is there any way I can find out the location of their burials (if they were buried rather than cremated)? I bought a copy of the National Burial Index (Third Edition) but they are not listed on there.

Any help or ideas would be much appreciated.

Julie

In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth

Thanks for the links dobfarm :)

A search on Google Street Maps has shown me the location of a cemetery in Campsall, not far from the church so I will go and have a look round when I get the time.

No Prob! Happy to help! :)

This link will do a search for one individual burial for £6 & if they are buried together, you only need to record search one of them.

Hello Julie,    I'm not sure where anything is in Rootschat any more so bear with me if you've had a reply already.   All  can suggest is try the Municipal Cemetary in Cantley  near Doncaster.   I'm not sure if burials from Campsall went there or not but it may help.   They did burials from areas outside Doncaster.

Happy hunting,

Ray.
