Charles Ogilvie
« on: Sunday 14 April 13 15:59 BST (UK) »
Hi there,
Can anyone help me find a photograph of Charles Ogilvie for a history project. He was born in Fossoway & Tulibole, Perthshire, one of seven children of James Ogilvie and Jean Baxter. He married Mary Ann Sandiford in Neilston, Renfrew on 22/11/1867. He had moved to Carluke, Lanarkshire and was a Grain merchant. They had 4 children, viz., Ann, (2/6/1868), Jane (9/9/1870), Emma (15/1/1873) and James (26/11/1876). Ann married Colin Park Baird circa 1895, and had 2 children, John & Jessie. Colin died in 1908, and last trace I have of Ann is 1911 Cencus, living in Renfrew. Cannot find Jane after 1910 cencus in Carluke. Emma died aged 2 in Carluke in 1875 and have no trace of James after 1903. Charles died at daughter Annie house in Renfrew in 1902. Charles was a Past-President of Carluke Bowling Club, hence trying to find a photo.

Hi Allan

Can I suggest you ask the moderator to move this to the Lanarkshire board?
Might have more success, especially as he was a President of Carluke Bowling Club.
Does the Club still exist?  They may be able to help, too.

Hi Dawn,
Thanks for the input. The Club celebrates it's 150th aniversary next year and I am trying to find a photo of every Past-president as part of the aniversary celebration. There are only 5 that I don't have yet,and Charles Ogilvie is one of three that I am really struggling on.
Regards Allan.
