working out where the various Finn entries are located for St. James and Dunbrody on Griffth's :
1. Richard Finn, Ballygow townland - close to Fethard on Sea, abt 10km/6 miles from Campile
2. John Finn, also Ballygow townland
3 & 4. seems to be additional properties in Ballygow for Richard & John
5 & 6. Thomas Finn, Ballyhack townland - abt 6km/4 miles
7. Bridget Finn also Ballyhack
8. Thomas Finn, also Ballyhack (could be a 2nd property for 5/6)
9. Anne Finn, Ballyvelig townland, which contains part of Campile village
10. Patrick Finn also Ballyvelig townland
11. John Finn, Grange townland - abt 3km/2 miles
12. William Finn, Kilhile townland - close to Ballyhack
13. Patrick Finn, Ramsgrange - abt 6km/4 miles
I suggest the Patrick and Ann in Ballyvelig townlands as the most likely connections along with the John Finn in Ballykeeroge Beg
The other two entries both relate to Grange townland, and properties where a John Finn is the immediate lessor, rather than occupier.
The
Tithe Records (1823-1837) on the National Archives website also show 3 Finns at Greatisland townland (listed as Great Island), and a number of Finns in both Kilmokea and St James & Dunbrody parishes - some in the same townlands as on Griffiths.
