Hi I have done really well doing my family tree, untill i get to my ggg grandfather Robert Mullen born Ireland but settled in Lanarkshire Scotland, he was born 1833 Ireland married 1849? in Aidrie to Ellen Colligan 1835 also born Ireland,,
Roberts Father also Called Robert married to Mary McQueen both of Ireland,were and how would i go about finding out, exactly were they were from in Ireland, any help would be really appreciated many thanks in advance Rob,

The dates you are looking for are well before the start of civil registration in Ireland so you'll need to get more information regarding where they lived (parish if not actual townland not just 'Ireland' or a county) before checking to see if any Irish records exist.
