Service Records
« on: Tuesday 09 April 13 04:09 BST (UK) »
Hi,

First  time on so hope this is worded correctly. I am trying to find service records for 2 relatives and do not know where to go:

Marjory Ruth Robison Born Sri Lanka 1/10/1918 died 26/9/1997

Tarn Derek Seager Born UK 1922 died 2004  (I think)

Both served in the RAF during WW2 and I understand went out to Singapore 1945/6.

Would really appreciate any help.   Many thanks Miranda1

Hi Miranda,

Welcome to Rootschat - the place to find things!

Those people from UK will be up and out of their beds soon to prosecute a search! -  here's hoping they find what you are looking for - or at least point you in the right direction!     :D  :D  ;)

While you are waiting for them there may be some information/hints about places to look if you go to the armed forces board at the bottom-ish of the 'Forum' page.

Wiggy   :)
Gaunt, Ransom, McNally, Stanfield, Kimberley. (Tasmania)
Brown, Johnstone, Eskdale, Brand  (Dumfriesshire,  Scotland)
Booth, Bruerton, Deakin, Wilkes, Kimberley
(Warwicks, Staffords)
Gaunt (Yorks)
Percy, Dunning, Hyne, Grigg, Farley (Devon, UK)
Duncan (Fife, Devon), Hugh, Blee (Cornwall)
Green, Mansfield, (Herts)
Cavenaugh, Ransom (Middlesex)

Hi

Welcome to Rootschat. Service Records for the period you are looking at are still held by the Ministry of Defence. The link below has details of how to apply for copies. Scroll down to see the section relating to deceased service personell.
