Have you found the location of Parduvine Farm?
I know of a place called Pardovan just east of Linlithgow, this is the next door county of West Lothian.

Hello,
Was Duncan Donaldson born 1723 in Newton, Midlothian - the son of James Donaldson and Janet Ballenie?

My GGG Grandfather, Andrew Black, was born at Parduvine, Midlothian in July 1809. His parents were James Black and Christian Hair. Can anyone help with any information on the Blacks or Hairs in that area?
Many thanks
Karen

I have a John Borthwick married to Margaret Donaldson. They had a son George b1784, Dalkeith.
Does this tie in with your George Borthwick.
