That's the one  :)  If the inscription has been worked / added to a few times, that might account for the condition of the stone and delamination. Limestone looks great, but is susceptible to fracturing, erosion

I have no clue as to the relationship between Mary and Joseph Town and Charles Stead Booth (my husband's great-great-grandfather)  Charles is the owner and buried two young children in the plot and added them to the stone marker.  Was there a policy that someone could "take over a forgotten stone or plot" and pay to become the owner and use it?  Or was there usually a relationship?  Mary and Joseph Town died before Charles Stead Booth was even born in 1811.  This stone is not located near other family members.  Appreciate your help with my questions.

I can't help any further, sorry Elaine. My expertise / knowledge disappears after the 3D model is made. Hope you find the answers you're after.

Thank you.  I am interested in any other 3D images you have from the St. James cemetery in Tong with the names Booth, Stead, or Oddy.  Thank-you for having such a special talent.

Hello Elaine, thanks for your kind words. That's the only one I've done in churchyard. I was just passing the church, saw the stocks outside and then wandered in. I'm sure I'll be visiting again to model the stocks, and I'll keep an eye for other graves.

Something wrong with that Blackburn transcription. If Mary died 1790, she couldn't have a son aged four in 1800.

''Also in memory of WILLIAM TOWN of Pudsey, son of the above said Mary Town who departed this life the 14th day of January 1800 in the 4th year of his age.''
Looking for the above burial entry to confirm, sorry to say unable to confirm!

Mary And Joshua Town are, or their supposed son William are listed. Your correct that the dates seem off for the family.

Joshua Town md Mrs. Mary Beaumont (widow)  in Calvary 17 March 1778.

Joshua Town b 1728 married Mrs. Mary Beamont a widow on 17 March 1778 in Calverley, St. Wilfrid Source Citation [West Yorkshire Archive Service; Wakefield, Yorkshire, England; Yorkshire Parish Records; New Reference Number: WDP17/3/3].

Mary was born Mary STEAD  1738 in Mirfield, Yorkshire to William Stead and Jane Buckley
Mary married George Beamont 17 Aug 1767 in Calverley, Yorkshire, England. ["England Marriages, 1538–1973 ," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:N2FB-W8Q : 10 December 2014), Georg Beamont and Mary Stead, 17 Aug 1767; citing Calverley, Yorkshire, England, reference ; FHL microfilm 990,547.]

Mary died 1 Feb 1790 in Yorkshire, according to the gravestone inscription. [have not found a death record for Mary or William.]

Find it interesting that that my ancestor is Charles Stead Booth and Rachel Booth (the owner of the plot and father of the children William and Richard Booth who are buried there).  Charles was born in 1811, after the Town family died.

Charles Stead Booth's mother was  Mary Ann Elizabeth Stead born  1787
Mary Ann’s father is Robert Stead born 1758 in Tong
Robert’s father is Charles Stead b abt 1716 in Tong
Mary Stead is not listed in any of these families, so her Relationship to my Charles Stead Booth is still unknown.

I am very interested in any information found on this family.
