Hi Elaine,

I appreciate the Picture searches for my names.  :)
We have a Richard Oddy, but much earlier than 1882 and also earlier than Richard & Hannah.  I have not found these connected directly to my tree.  Richard and wife Hannah could be a son of my Richard Odd - But I do not have enough information, this is why I need these kind of pieces that can only be found at the Stones.

I will attach some .pdf files of my Family Group Sheets for Tong that can be used as lists of who I am looking for.  John Booth died 1795 birth and parents unknown who married Martha Oddy is the main goal for this search.  The parish record would indicate he (and assume at least his wife and some of his children) are buried there.  He was a Blacksmith.  I would imagine he is buried close to his wife's parents - Samuel (also a blacksmith) and Martha Hargraves Oddy.  John Booth's son moved to Holme after he married, but he is definitely buried in the St. James Churchyard in Tong Village.

I am really impressed with the photos and descriptions of monuments that have been loaded onto the Yorkshire site.  Please pass this on to Lynne and others who supply the photos.  This is an important work for those of us who cannot get to the cemeteries ourselves.  :)

I really appreciate your willingness to help those of us outside the British Isles. My husband's father (Cyril) born in Bramley, came over to the US when he was 6 years old with his mother, to meet his father (Jabez) who was already here. (Found them in Ellis Island Records).  Jabez's father is the Charles Stead Booth in the FGSs.

There is a photo of the Charles Stead Booth and Rachel monument on the YI site. New Wortley Cemetery, consecrated grave 4392. Photo taken by Lynnie.

That's one for your collection.

Elaine: Question for you re baptism records Farnley.
I have located a number of Booth's in 1860's - John Booth (blacksmith) and Elizabeth then Hannah children of both.
Are these part of your family group?

1860??? (1760's, is a better match for what I know)  John Booth (blacksmith) and Elizabeth then Hannah children of both - Could very well be a descendant of my family that I do not yet know about it.  I am not sure where it would fit it in.  I have not yet found a  Hannah that fits as a daughter to a Booth in my family. Was the 1860' for deaths?   ???

I will find the YI site for Charles and Rachel Booth, New Wortley Cemetery, consecrated grave 4392a real find for us - this is the direct line - son of William and father of George Stead Booth - We did not have the death date on Rachel. Thank-you  :) :)

This help from all of you is much appreciated!!!!!! :)

Elaine: Update to last message.
I have been unable to locate a grave stone for your John Booth and his wife.
After speaking to a member of a local history society, he believes that he may have more information at home.
E mail sent confirming the information required to my new contact, awaiting a reply.
