« on: Wednesday 03 April 13 19:22 BST (UK) »
        Looking for help please
Harriet Scholey c1819 married George Sanderson St Marys Barnsley 26 march 1836
George died of Pneumonia 13 august 1845 ,Harriet then married Samuel Sanderson        Younger Brother of George 9 February 1852 .
Her father may have been Richard?
John Sanderson another brother of George and Samuel married Hannah Scholey in 1836

It is feasible that these Scholey girls were sisters ? but more family have been elusive to find ,so help needed on the Scholeys please

Dear Victor,
Thank you for that info ,it was something I did not have ,so every little helps.
The 1881 census for Ryhill states Harriet was born in Barnsley she did live in Old Town with first husband ,as there seems to be so little information on the Scholey's I wonder if they were Non-Conformists, the next generations were Primitive Methodists do you think I should take this as a clue ?

Hi Smol,
Thanks for your input, apart from the fact that the William Scholey lived in Old Town Barnsley where members of my family lived, I don't have any connections.
Dependant on how many Scholey's were in Barnsley ,and how long they had lived there ,George Scholey father of William would probably have been born in the 1820s the same era I am looking at. If I can find children specifically for the Richard in Victors post we might be onto something.
